August 9, 2021 Community Involvement

On August 9, 2021, Wightman VP Customer Acquisition, Cameron Green was at the Teeswater Culross Swimming Pool for the BBQ and Tread-a-Thon event to present a donation of five hundred dollars to help with the fundraising efforts. Mayor Bob Buckle, CAO/Clerk, Leanne Martin, Recreation & Facilities Manager, Shawnette Duvall-Crouse, and TC Pool Supervisor, Rachael Hogg, were on hand to receive the Wightman donation.

Wightman is a local and family-owned company, serving South Bruce with phone, internet, and TV services for decades. In recent years, Wightman constructed Fibre to the Home, a highly advanced communications infrastructure in Teeswater and now expanding into Formosa.

Wightman VP Customer Acquisition, Cameron Green stated, at Wightman, we’re committed to helping the communities where we provide telecommunication services. When we heard about the event happening today, we thought what a better way to give back and support the town of Teeswater. Our donation will help the South Bruce Recreation & Facilities department purchase new junior and senior kick boards, rescue packs, and equipment for the aqua fit classes at the Teeswater Culross pool. Wightman is passionate about providing the best possible experience in every interaction.
