Re: Wightman Bringing Fibre to the Home to Orangeville
Orangeville, ON –
On October 14, 2020, Wightman announced the $56 million investment in Orangeville that will bring the most advanced communications infrastructure to the Town. Fibre to the Home and business is the best technology to handle the increasing demands of everyday life. Construction has begun in the business park with Avertex, a local Orangeville company working on the installation. For several years now, Wightman has been offering its services and has been a part of the Orangeville community and now will work to connect each business and home with fibre in Orangeville.
“Wightman President Rob Figliuzzi said the start of construction is the accumulation of much planning, discussions and negotiations with the Town, adding he’s pleased to be working on Orangeville’s fibre optic infrastructure.
Wightman begins fibre construction this fall, moving to the residential sector next year. The company plans to open a retail location in Orangeville in early 2021. Orangeville marks the family-owned company’s 12th Fibre to the Home build.”
