April 7, 2021 Community Involvement

Under sunny skies in STRATFORD, ON Cameron Green, VP of Customer Acquisition at Wightman extended heartfelt support to the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth Foundation Board Chair, Dennis Young with a cheque for the third installment of $5,000.

We are founded on the “people come first” principle, and play an active role by supporting local service groups, minor sports, and community organizations. Our commitment and dedication are demonstrated through our actions. Wightman has made a multi-year commitment to The Stratford Perth Hospice Foundation, a charitable organization committed to raising operational funds for the Rotary Hospice Stratford Perth, where palliative patients and their loved-ones are supported with compassionate care through their end-of-life journeys.

October 30, 2020 Community Involvement

On October 26, 2020, Wightman presented the Arthur Lions with a donation of $2,000 for their new BMX Skateboard Park project. October 29, 2020 Community Involvement

In September 2020, Wightman was named the winner for Best Video at the Ontario Association of Crime Stoppers Awards for our work with Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington on the video broadcast of “The River Classic Golf Tournament” in September 2019 where CSGW partnered with other community agencies.

This was one of a number of awards for Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington in 2020 between the Ontario Association of Crime Stoppers and Crime Stoppers International Awards. “It is exciting to bring these awards back to Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington,” said CSGW Program Coordinator Sarah Bowers-Peter. “We are always striving for new ways to engage with the public and we are thrilled to be recognized. Needless to say, we are so thankful for our partners who make community engagement possible.

December 12, 2019 Community Involvement

Hope Reidt, Marketing Manager with Wightman looks on as CSGW Vice-Chair Deryck West presents a copy of the Crime Stoppers International Award for Best Media Television (Population Up to 300,000) to Adam Olivero, local TV content producer and camera operator for the winning segment – the 30th Anniversary Flag-Raising while Program Coordinator Sarah Bowers-Peter looks on. The awards were announced in Singapore during the annual conference.

The Wightman TV feature of the 30th Anniversary celebration was held in Mount Forest August 2018. The broadcast included the flag raising downtown, followed by the public barbecue and recognition of CSGW’s supporters. The founding members of the program were also recognized at this time.
