We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Associate to join our dynamic telecommunications sales team. This role is crucial in driving customer retention, lead generation and successful order entry and project coordination. As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with the Account Executive to manage existing accounts, generate new business and ensure a seamless customer experience. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities and the drive to exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing customers, ensuring their satisfaction and delivering ongoing value from our products and services. Actively listen to customer needs and offer tailored solutions to strengthen partnerships.
• Lead Generation & Sales Support: Proactively engage with existing customers to identify new sales opportunities, conduct outbound calls and generate leads to expand the customer base. Seek and capitalize on upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
• Order Entry & Project Coordination: Accurately enter sales orders and track their progress. Coordinate all phases of the project lifecycle from order to delivery. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of services and troubleshoot any issues along the way.
• Sales Strategy & Reporting: Assist in the execution of sales strategies, monitoring progress against KPIs and reporting on sales performance, pipeline and customer activities. Provide regular updates on sales progress, customer feedback and market trends.
• Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with your assigned Account Executive to strategize and execute sales activities within your geographic area. Ensure seamless coordination between lead generation, account management and order closure to meet shared goals.
• Customer Support & Troubleshooting: Serve as the primary point of contact for customer issues, troubleshoot product-related problems and work with technical teams to resolve any challenges that arise during or after the sales process.
• Market Insights & Product Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies. Share insights with the team to better serve customers and differentiate our products and services in the market.
Qualifications
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in sales support, account management, or customer service, preferably within the telecommunications industry.
• Education: High school diploma required; a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with telecommunications products/services or the ability to learn quickly. Proficiency with CRM systems and sales software.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer engagement and relationship-building.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines and maintain accurate records.
• Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze customer needs and offer tailored solutions.
