The Opportunity
Wightman is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to support the operations of the Access Network Department.
Reporting to the Manager of Access Network Design, the Project Inspector is responsible for the testing, inspection and as constructed data collection of construction and maintenance activities for conformance to Wightman standards.
What You Will Do
- Travel daily to site locations to Monitor Construction Progress.
- Complete audits/verification of field records and installations.
- Access flush to grade vaults for visual inspection.
- Testing of tracer continuity with a Vivax Locator.
- Field Data collection with GPS (Training provided).
- Exporting & Uploading As Constructed Data.
- Material Handling, Delivery & Inventory Control.
- Assist with Field Designs and Approvals.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is energetic, intelligent and an enthusiastic team player. Skills and attributes include:
- Safety Conscious
- Punctual and consistent attendance required.
- Must be able to see and distinguish different colors and read fine print.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office software.
- Ability to learn job specific software (CAD, SpatialNET).
- Must be receptive to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s license & Clean driving abstract.
- Solid understanding of Utility Construction.
- Experience with Utility Locating.
- Rough Terrain Forklift Ticket (or Training Provided)
